The heat…were is it? We are feeling what the rest of the worlds most populated places have already felt. No more heat from the sun. This does put a damper on Sunny Sports played in St. George and Mesquite.

I watched as the St. George Marathon ran in and ran out of town.

I saw the rich come into town and I remembered it’s “The World Senior Games”. (The Porsche’s, Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s and of course the one classic Rolls Royce convertible).

Berny Madoff was still not seen at the games. He has been trying to get the newest form of “steal your fellow sports members wallet” as an official Senior Games sport. He is still getting no support as the games finish up for this season.

With the earth moving the furthest from the sun…we will go into semi-retirement until next year when the sun heat comes out again.

The Players Golf Championship

The Players Championship is one of the great challenges of the year that is played at the same course like the Master is.

We will see that being a golf Mecca, as well as having our own golf legend…Jay Don Blake will have many new comers from the St. George, Mesquite and Las Vegas areas winning tournaments in the near future.

It will be fun to watch an avid golfer myself.

Good luck to the winner…may it motivate new champions from our famous cities and golf courses.

Deuling in the Desert Tennis Tournement

Bloomington Country Club hosted the 18th annual Deuling in the Desert tennis tournament at the Bloomington Country Club Golf Course on March 28th. Sixteen teams from all over Utah played in this event. I see that the new facility under contruction will bring many more tounements to the sunny south west of Utah and Mesquite in the future.
